This film, produced by Vikram Krishna and directed by Thiru, has Vishal (Vikram’s brother) playing the lead role, that of a playboy. So we have three lovely lasses gracing the screen, namely, Neetu Chandra, the very pretty Tanushree Dutta, and Sarah Jane Dias. Sneha does a cameo and the supporting cast includes Prakash Raj, Oorvasi and Santhanam. The title song is supposed to have been choreographed by the famous Bollywood duo Bosco-Caesar and shot in Mumbai. Yuvan Shankar Raja (as the music director) joins hands with Vishal here for the fourth time. Let us see what Yuvan has on offer.

The song, with guitars and keyboard sounds going slightly 

ballistic, seems to have an ‘Aegan’ hangover, which could have been avoided. The song of a hot-blooded hedonist, its words simply drown in the beats.

En Jannal Vandha...

Vocals: Roshini, Priya, Divya. Rap by Pan Bundy

Lyrics: Pa.Vijay

A cheerful number, sung by a cocky girl and likely to find favor with young girls! The alliterations in the pallavi go so well with the vibrant rapping by Pan Bundy. The song amusingly breaks out into the ethnic mode in the second half.

A nicely put-together number, where the vigorous guitar sounds are tempered with soft string interludes before the charanams. Pleasant unaggressive rhythms and energetic singing make you want to listen to it again. Naughty lyrics from Vaali, of course. The song seems based on the Karaharapriya scale.

En Aasai Ethiraliye...

Lyrics: Pa.Vijay

This song, on the Kiravani raga scale, has expressive orchestration. The tension between the soft seductress and the resisting male reflects in the changing rhythms too. With a slight Arabian touch to it, this song lingers on your mind after you listen to it. Could be a hit in spite of the weak vocals of the lady.

Oru Punnagai Thane...

Vocals: Ranjith

Lyrics: Pa.Vijay

This song has a very neat rhythm arrangement and Ranjith sings well except for a minor sruti lapse. The clever use of the swaras’ni dha pa ma pa’ on the keys point to the Karaharapriya scale even if both the 1-kattai and 5-kattai srutis are used here. Sensitive lyrics.
