Produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram and directed by S. Sakthivel (his debut movie), this film stars Nakulan and Poorna (‘Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moonraamandu’) in lead roles. Nakulan, who had already lent his voice in ‘Boys’ and ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyadu’, gets to sing a solo number here. Dhina scores the music and the album lists five songs.

A typical ‘Nakulan style’ kutthu paattu that advocates a lively ‘hands-on’ approach to life and warns us not to stagnate. The zest in the verses is very well captured by Tippu’s lovely voice. Indian rhythms, guitar and keyboard sangatis add to the speed.

Kaadhal Pambu Unnai...

The opening is slightly dramatic and swirling, so as to reflect the sentiments of the first line. A peppy number where the man tries to shy away from falling in love and the woman urges to give himself over to love to become a better person! Strong inputs from the guitar and keyboard, with a tiny percussive bit before the second charanam. Could briefly hit the charts.

Eppadi Ennul Kadhal...

Nakulan springs a pleasant surprise on us with this neat and full-throated rendering. The lyrics are rather amusing with the man wondering what really made him fall for his girl! Nice use of violins and mandolin. The song seems to be based lightly on the Harikamboji scale. Could hit the charts for Nakulan’s voice.

Unnai Kadhali Enru... 

Vocals: Naresh Iyer, Sadhana Sargam, Dhina

Lyrics: Kabilan

A pleasant melodic duet in what appears to be Kiravani raga scale. A song of love and intimacy, it runs on easy rhythms. Good singing from both, except for the oddly stressed word ‘cholla’. The strings add a charming touch.

Dishyum Dishyum..

Vocals: Shankar Mahadevan, Suchitra

Lyrics: Vivega

Obviously a dance number with suggestive movements, going by the frenzied pace of the song. What probably stops it from being a drag is the lively rendering of Shankar Mahadevan. Suchitra keeps pace with him.
