Last week Vijay flew to Thiruvananthapuram for a day for the promotion of his hit Vettaikaran, which celebrated its 25 days run at 1440 seater New Theatre one of the biggest screens in India.
Vijay has one of the largest fan following among Tamil stars in Kerala. A large number of his fans came to New Theatre and made it an event.
Says an emotionally charged Vijay: “ It is like being in Tamil Nadu and the response and warmth that people in Kerala have given me is heart warming.”
Like Rajinikanth who was in Thiruvananthapuram a day earlier for his Endhiran work, Vijay also told the media that he would love to do a Malayalam film.
He said his 50th film Sura will release for summer, and it would have the biggest ever release for a Tamil film in Kerala.
The actor visited an orphange and served food for the inmates(See pic).
